Famous music producer, ID Cabassa, has opened up about his relationship with music star, Abolore Akande, also known as 9ice, saying neither of them could explain how their relationship went sour. Cabassa was the producer of 9ice’s most successful album, Gongo Aso but the duo would soon fall apart later after their fortunes changed and fame set into the picture for 9ice.
Things fell apart between them and never remained the same again even though Cabassa said they have moved beyond the past and are doing fine as friends now.
On what went wrong with 9ice and his failed marriage to his ex wife, Tony Payne, Cabassa who said he and 9ice have made up and are best of friends now, disclosing that many of the events that happened to 9ice in the past would not have happened if he was in his life.
According to him, he was heartbroken when 9ice’s marriage to Payne hit the rocks.
“I was one of the most painful episodes for him. I was heartbroken when 9ice and Payne parted ways. You known 9ice and I before the whole thing happened. I think that’s the way the devils works; he will isolate you.
” I think a lot of things happened that till date, 9ice cannot sit down and say this was what happened between Cabassa and I because If I was in the whole picture, what happened wouldn’t have happened,” Persecondnews quotes him as saying.
