Drama as DSS rearrests Emefiele after court’s bail

Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been rearrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) at the premises of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The operatives had moved swiftly and took custody of Emefiele after a scuffle with prison officials, who had been granted bail by the court on Tuesday.

The fight occurred in front of vacation judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo’s courtroom.

Shortly after the scuttle, the prison officials left the premises without Emefiele.
