A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, which is hearing the allegations made by the police against Prankster, Abdullahi Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has ordered that the suspect be kept in Agodi Correctional Facility (prison) until July 11.
Trinity Guy was charged to court by the police for allegedly sexualizing a minor in a viral 38-second video where he asked a female minor to describe his genitals, Persecondnews reports.
Earlier, the suspect’s lawyer, Mr Oludare Adebayo, had pleaded with the court to release him on bail.
Rejecting his plea, Magistrate P.O. Adetuyibi, said a case has been “opened in the government office which is looking at the justice system in Oyo state regarding the suspect.”
Similarly, the court also ordered that the mother and father of the 10-year-old child that appears in a viral video with the Trinity Guy should be detained in the prison.
They were remanded untill July 11.
The Prankster had earlier said that he had an agreement with the minor’s parents before shooting the skit.
Persecondnews also reports that there was outrage on social media platforms last week when the video of Trinity and the minor was released which prompted the Police to swing into action and arrested him on Friday.
The skit maker had apologized for the video but the apology could not save him from being held by the police since Friday.
