Winner of Big Brother Naija (BBN) Level Up Season, Phyna has broken her silence on her relationship with former housemate, Groovy.
Phyna and Groovy became an item during the BBN Reality Show and also dated while the show lasted but many people had questioned why Phyna and Groovy couldn’t keep things going after the house.
Phyna had walked away with the prize money while Groovy has been making appearances in movies and other skits online but their relationship didn’t last long as many people had expected.
On what went wrong with the celebrated relationship, Phyna said she had genuine feelings for Groovy and went into a relationship with him because he felt something special could happen.
She would later discover that Groovy was interested in other girls in the house and she could not deal with his double-faced attitude, adding that while she liked Groovy, she had to let go.
She said:“First thing, Big Brother Nigeria Level up season, the whole 28 housemates were there to compete for a 100 million and a lot of people would do whatsoever they want to do to get there.
“Initially, getting into the relationship, it was genuine for me till I found out that it wasn’t genuine for him.
“When I heard he wanted some other girl, though I liked him, no cap. I liked him so much but when I found out the way it was going, I just had to be smart, like come on, I am an Edo girl, we don’t carry last.
“I played the game. I played the game really nice. He didn’t know, a lot of people didn’t know in the house. They see me to be so into him,” she said.
