2023 BET award: Nigerian artistes sweep up nominations

Top Nigerian musis acts, including Burna Boy, Tems and Ayra Starr, Asake are the four Nigerian artistes to be nominated for the 2023 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.

Burna Boy, who has already won a Grammy Award, was nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video Director of the Year, Viewer’s Choice, and Best International Act categories.

Tems, who is another a Grammy winner, was nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artiste, Best Collaboration, and Viewers Choice categories.

The Nigerian artistes are showing to the world that they can conquer Africa and the rest of the world as this is evident in the richness and acceptance of their sounds across the globe.

However, both Asake and Ayra Starr earned one nomination each.

While Asake will contend in the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category, Ayra Starr will compete with Burna Boy in the best international act category.
