Amid the pressure and tension from fans to switch his style of music to what the music industry demands, Nigerian artiste, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has vowed not to mix his music with lewd and ungodly songs to satisfy the yearnings of a section of his fans.

Spyro whose hit song, “Who is Your Guy”, has earned him fame, wealth and recognition maintained that he would rather influence the secular music industry for God, noting that he is more interested in making evergreen music.

He made this known in a post shared on his Instagram account, saying he is only interested in evergreen songs that generations after him would be proud of and glorify God.

Describing himself as ‘God’s ambassador’ and that he is only interested in making evergreen music and not ungodly one.

He wrote: “I am only interested in making evergreen music. And that’s exactly what it is. Ain’t no shake your bum or any kinda ungodly/dirty lyrics here… We pride in promoting what’s right and everyone that works with me already got the memo.

“Ain’t no compromise here. It might take me time but I will influence this industry for God…and someone please mark my words on that…I am here for a reason. I am GOD’S AMBASSADOR HERE and gradually we will take these grounds for him.”
