Break-up: We disappointed our fans, says P-Square

1.2k

Nine years after they had their last album together, the Nigerian musical duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, known as P-Square, are working on a new album.

Per Seconds News reports that the duo has struggled to return to the momentum they created before they went on their separate ways for five years to pursue solo careers.

They reunited two years ago and have been performing together as a group but some of their fans have been saying they need to raise their game to the demands of the current state of the music industry.

The identical twins while speaking about their new project hinted at releasing the album within the year.

Since reuniting in 2022, the duo released two singles Jaiye (Ihe g’eme) and Find Somebody) ahead of their ‘100 Cities World Tour,’ which kicked off with North America through Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa last year.

Paul of the group said: “Anything you see that happens to a (music) group, it’s the same thing that happened to us.

“Irrespective of how people want to look at it, we felt the fans were disappointed. We’re humans. It’s normal.”
