Ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to Mauritania later today, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) is departing Abuja for Monrovia, Liberia, to attend the “Emerging Young Leaders Forum’’.
Prof. Osinbajo’s one-day visit is at the instance of his Liberian counterpart, Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, who is marking her 60th birthday on January 17.
Osinbajo and other West African leaders will at the forum tagged, “Conversation with the Vice President and Young People’’, interact with a selected group of 400 emerging leaders, a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice- President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, given to Persecondnews said.
The leaders will be sharing their growth, struggles, attainment, accomplishments and secrets,” according to information from the Office of the Liberian Vice President.
Osinbajo is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President George Weah of Liberia.
Accompanied on the trip by the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Ramatu Aliyu and the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investment, Mariam Uwais, the Vice-President is expected back in Abuja later on Monday.
Persecondnews recalls that Osinbajo had in February 2022, represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the formal launch of the year-long commemoration of the country’s bicentennial anniversary.
