Bandits appear to have invaded the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as they have launched a ghastly attack on Genuine Estate, Gwarinpa, abducting some residents.

The bandits, who struck in the wee-hours of Monday, reportedly operated from 1.00a.m to 4.00a.m. unchallenged.

Persecondnews gathered that the bandits, who came in large numbers, concentrated their attack on the 6th Avenue of Gwarinpa, using bows, arrows and machetes during the several hours of siege.

Commenting on the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, said:” We are yet to confirm if the incident is a case of kidnap or robbery.”

She, however, said operatives of the Command had been deployed to the area to restore normalcy, adding that investigation has begun into the incident.
