Just in: Two sons of Chief Justice Tanko, emerge APC, PDP candidates in Bauchi National Assembly primaries

The family of the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Ibrahim Tanko, appears to be embracing the two main political parties in the country as

two siblings have picked the tickets of APC and PDP in Bauchi for Senate and House of Representatives seats.

The two sons will be flying parties’ flags in the 2023 elections.

Siraj Ibrahim Tanko, won the All Progressives Congress ticket for Bauchi North Senatorial seat while Sani Ibrahim Tanko, emerged the People’s Democratic Party candidate in Shira Giafe Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives, Persecondnews reports.

Siraj defeated two other contestants, including the incumbent Senator representing the constituency, Adamu Bulkachuwa.

He polled 189 votes, Imba, his closest rival secured 177 votes while Bulkachuwa had no votes.

Sani, however, was elected unopposed
