Abia Chief of Staff, Prof. Agbazuere, quits

The Chief of Staff to the Abia Governor, Prof. ACB Agbazuere, has resigned, Persecondnews has gathered.

Agbazuere quit his job on Wednesday in compliance with the constitutional provision of resigning at least 30 days to the party primaries.

He is believed to be vying for the party’s ticket for possibly the House of Representatives on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Persecondnews reports that Abia Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has accepted his resignation and wished him well in his future political adventures.

Meanwhile, the governor has approved the appointment of Chief Okey Ahiwe as the new Chief of Staff.

This appointment took effect from April 11, 2022, a statement by Barr. Chris Ezem, the Secretary to Abia State Government, said

Persecondnews recalls that had on November 5, 2019 appointed Agbazuere his Chief of Staff.

Until the appointment, Agbazuere was the General Manager of the Abia State Passenger Insurance Manifest and Safety Scheme, ASPIMS.

He also served as the Commissioner for Information and Strategy.
