Nollywood ace actor, Alhaji King Babatunde Ayinla Nurudeen Olasunkanmi Omidina, a.k.a Baba Suwe, Nigeria’s celebrated veteran comic actor, is dead.

His death has been confirmed by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan.
“It has been confirmed that Baba Suwe is dead. I just got off the phone with his son who confirmed that the actor is dead.
“I don’t have much details about his death,” Amusan a.k.a Mr Latin said in Lagos on Monday.
Persecondnews.com recalls that on October 14, 2011,  Baba Suwe was busted with cocaine at the International wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos by the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Baba Suwe was picked up at the International wing while boarding an Air France flight to Paris, France, where he was scheduled to perform as a master of ceremony at a naming ceremony of an Air France staff.
It generated a lot of controversy as he denied ingesting the drugs and also refused to defecate it after several days in custody.
But the scanning machine at the airport detected suspected substance hidden in Baba Suwe’s stomach.
