Breaking: Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho, arrested

Chief Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Igboho Oosa, a Yoruba Nation activist has been arrested.

Igboho was arrested at the Cotonou Cadjehoun Airport on Monday night by the country’s security forces.

The Federal Government had last week placed lgboho on a “stop list” after it learnt that he was trying to acquire a new passport to flee the country.

A person whose name is on the stop-list is denied all constitutional rights and privileges.

Persecondnews recalls that lgboho was on July 1declared wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS) on allegations of stockpiling arms to destabilize the country.

The DSS-led forces had raided his house at Sooka area of Ibadan, destroyed his properties including exotic cars, arrested and detained of 13 of Igboho’s associates.

During the midnight operation of July 1, two of Igboho’s supporters — Adogan and Alfa — were also killed.
