“Few minutes after she got inside the room, Daniel locked the door and increased the volume of the Television set, while Ms Favour and another female member of his church held me down on the floor, as the Pastor raped me”
A 21-year-old woman, has accused the Pastor of a new generation church, located at Elechi/Wokoma Street Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, of raping her.
According to the victim, a choir mistress and a female church member held her down while the Pastor of Jesus Alive Word Refiners International Church, Tony Daniel, raped her violently, after she had gone there on the pastor’s invitation to resolve some issues she is having with his wife.
The victim who is a hairdresser further explained that she obliged to meet Daniel after being persuaded by the choir mistress, Ms Favour, who happens to be her customer.
“On arrival at meeting venue, she said she discovered that the place was a Guest House but did not suspect any foul play as her customer, Ms Favour was there.
“Few minutes after she got inside the room, Daniel locked the door and increased the volume of the Television set, while Ms Favour and another female member of his church held me down on the floor, as the Pastor raped me,” she narrated.
Reporting the incident to a Human rights advocacy group, the Centre For Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, the victim also alleged that the pastor gave her some substance suspected to be ‘juju’ after the incident to swear not to reveal to anybody what transpired in the place or she will die.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni, said they are investigating the Pastor following a petition by the human rights group.
A member of the group, Barrister Festus Bonwin, said they wrote the petition to demand an investigation into the allegation made against the Pastor.
Bonwin disclosed that the group is also asking for adequate Police protection for the alleged victim.
Persecondnews gathered that last year, the same Pastor Daniel, was detained at Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters, Port Harcourt following a complaint by one Mr Ndidi Austin, who alleged he caught the Pastor with his wife in a hotel.
