A 50-year-old man and stepfather, Paul Nnadi, and his friend, Ayobamidele Olaiya, are to spend the next 37 days in prison pending legal advice for their prosecution.
They have joined other criminals and inmates at Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos, for serially raping the teenage girl.
An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court which gave the order on Tuesday, did not take their pleas when duo was arraigned.
The case has been adjourned until Sept. 17, for mention.
Nnadi and his partner in crime are facing conspiracy and defilement charge.
The offences violated Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which carries life imprisonment.
Chief Magistrate P.E. Nwaka directed that the case file should be sent to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

Police Prosecutor Christopher John had told the court that the offences were committed sometime in 2019 at No. 6, Ibitoye St., Ajegunle, Lagos.

He alleged that Nnadi and his friend held her hostage and took turns to rape her.

John said the case was reported at Ajegunle police station after which nd they were apprehended.
