Kidnappers on the loose in Ondo State, abduct Governor’s Chief of Staff’s wife

Prowling kidnappers have struck again in Ondo State, abducting the wife of the Chief of Staff to Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu, Mr Olugbenga Ale.

Mrs Ale, her driver and another occupant of the car on Ondo-Akure road at the Owena on Thursday night.

Persecondnews had reported that the Olufon of Ifon in the state, Oba Israel Adeusi, was shot dead by some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers at the Elegbeka in Ose council area on Thursday before Ale’s wife was abducted.

Gov. Akeredolu had launched Amotekun, Southwest security outfit to combat kidnapping and banditry in the state.

“She was coming from Lagos with a driver and two other people in the car. Security men were in the forest last night searching for her,” a government source said.

Confirming the incident, the State Command’s spokesman, DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said the search for the victims had begun.

“The CP has ordered all the police divisions in the area to go after the hoodlums with the assistance of the military men and I hope that very soon, we shall have good news from there,” he said.
