Hoodlums hack community chief priest to death in Delta

The deceased had attended a carnival at Digbori street, off the Hausa quarters, when the hoodlums who are believed to be from the community launched an attack on him.

 

 

Bloody violence has erupted in the Hausa quarters area of Igbudu market in Warri South Council Area of Delta State  as the community chief priest was stabbed to death.
The priest whose name was given as Victor, was said to have been killed for allegedly impregnating and abandoning a girl in the community.
As a result of the fatal attack, the area has been thrown into pandemonium.
The deceased had attended a carnival at Digbori street, off the Hausa quarters, when the hoodlums who are believed to be from the community launched an attack on him.
The death of Victor, who is said to be a grandson of the late Alawuru of the community has triggered commotion among residents who envisaged reprisal by Igbudu community youths.Contacted for comments, the spokeswoman of the  State Police Command, DSP A. Onome confirmed the incident, saying “Yes, it is true, somebody (a man) was killed.”
