Nigeria’s Navy Ship Targets Oil Thieves in Niger Delta Raids, Seize Over 80,000 Ltrs of AGO

The Nigerian Navy are on the offensive in the Niger Delta, in a bid to stop a lucrative oil smuggling business.

The Nigerian Navy Delta patrol team has intercepted a large wooden boat laden with about 70,000 ltrs of product suspected to be illegally refined AGO in 6 metal storage tanks along Benin River in Warri North LGA of Delta State.

The Navy ship is currently conveying the boat and content to the Base.

In another operation, the NNS DELTA team located another illegal refining site around Uwakeno in Warri South LGA, Delta State. 4 ovens 4 coolers 6 surface metal storage tanks 2 pits laden with 10,000ltrs of products suspected to be illegally refined AGO & 440.2 barrels of stolen crude oil confiscated.

The Armed Forces Of Nigeria has Intensified efforts on curbing Crude Oil Theft And Economic Sabotage In The Niger Delta Area.
