Reprieve came the way of jailed ex-governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, as a Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday ordered his release from prison.
Kalu is currently serving a 12-year term after he was convicted of N7.1 billion fraud alongside his firm — Slok Nigeria Ltd.
A former State Director of Finance attached to the Abia State Government House, Jones Udeogu, is also serving his term.
