ln Ogun, Council Chair-nominee dies just before screening by lawmakers

Tragedy has hit lpokia community in Ogun State as thier son who was due to be screened as the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Ipokia Local Government, Saibu Adeosun Mulero,  died mysteriously a few hours before the exercise.
PerSecondnews reports that the State House of Assembly had on Monday begun the screening of the Chairmen-nominees for the 20 local government transition committees in the state sent in by Gov. Dapo Abiodun.
The deceased was scheduled to appear before the House Screening Committee on Wednesday before he died while preparing for the screening.

”Mulero had dressed up this morning for a trip to Abeokuta to enable him to appear before the Assembly Committee but he decided to take a nap.

“And that was it; he could not wake up again,” said a family source.
He was a graduate of Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta and former Senior Special Assistant to Ipokia Local Government chairman, and an ex-supervisor in the local government.
Mukero, a member of the Ipokia Local Government Transition Committee in 2016 and a senior legislative aide in the National Assembly,  is survived by wife, Mulikat and three children.
