The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has conducted a search on the Abuja residence of Senator Shehu Sani just as the operatives are still holding him.
The operatives arrived at Sani’s residence located in Wuse 2, Abuja, at about 3.30 pm.
Sani, who was arrested on Dec. 31, 2019 was alleged to have claimed access to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, some other judges and EFCC Acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, to obtain funds from a businessman, Sani Dauda, owner of ASD Motors, with promises of influencing the outcome of some court cases involving Dauda.
The EFCC has already obtained a court order to detain Sani for 14 days.
