Nigerian Senator slumps, passes on in Abuja

Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, is dead.

The Senator, who represented Imo North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday in Abuja.

Imo West Senator and former governor, Rochas Okorocha, confirmed the death of Uwajumogu to reporters at the Senate on Wednesday.

Uwajumogu had slumped in the toilet in his house while bathing.
He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Apo, Abuja, where he was certified dead by doctors.
