The body of a Naval Officer, Commander Oluwayemisi Ogundana, who was declared missing and serving in Jaji in Kaduna State, has been found in a shallow well in the area.
Ogundana, who was believed to have been murdered by some men who are at large, was the Commandant of Command Secondary School, Jaji.
Sources said her corpse was dumped in a well at a village near the Military Cantonment.
According to the sources, the officer with service no. NN/2367, was last seen in Jaji on Sept.12, a development which necessitated placing some of her relations and staff and under close watch by the authorities.
Efforts to reach her phones by the school authorities were unsuccessful.
It was learnt that two men had been apprehended in Zaria while attempting to sell the deceased’s car.
“The two suspects confessed to have taken part in the murder of the senior military officer. They later led investigators to Agwanloyo, to an abandoned shallow well near the Deeper life Church in Jaji cantonment.
“Her body had been dismembered and put in a Ghana-must-go bag before being dumped in the shallow well,’’ the sources said.
The Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, ASP Yakubu Sabo, is yet to speak on the incident in spite of calls put through to him.
The late Commander, had three children living with their father in Lagos.
