A woman who worked as a certified anger management specialist allegedly shot and killed a U.S pastor and wounded his wife after visiting their home, Police say.
Pastor Brodes Perry of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church died April last year after Latoshia Daniels went to his home, and after being let in because they knew who she was, Daniels screamed, “You broke my heart,” and fired on the pastor and his wife.
According to reports, Daniels came to the home unexpectedly and was let inside because they knew her from her time living in Little Rock. The wife reportedly was walking Daniels to the door to leave when she pulled out her gun and screamed: “you broke my heart” and started shooting.
According to the police report, the wife tried to shield her husband before Daniels told her to move and then shot her in her left shoulder.
The jilted mistress killed the pastor because he refused to divorce his wife.
Police say Mrs. Perry let Daniels inside, saying they had known her in Little Rock. According to the affidavit, the wife and Daniels spoke for about 30 minutes before Pastor Perry showed up at the apartment.
According to police, they spoke for about 10 minutes more when Daniels said it’s getting late and started to leave.
Mrs. Perry told officers she opened the door, and when she turned to Daniels, she saw her pull out a handgun and shoot the pastor several times, yelling “You broke my heart!” as she fired.
Police say the man’s wife banged on a neighbor’s door to call police. She told them she walked back in and knelt by her husband as Daniels walked toward the kitchen, and told her to “get out of the way” before shooting her in the shoulder.
Mrs. Perry told police Daniels then began to reload the gun with another magazine, and police showed up.
Police reports go on to say responding officers found Daniels still armed with the gun and refusing to put it down.
They say an officer fired a round from “a less lethal shotgun,” causing her to fall and drop the gun. They then took her into custody.

Perry’s church, where he served as executive pastor, described him as a “phenomenal man, dedicated to the kingdom of God.”
