Former Senate President Pius Anyim strongly believes his friendship with President Muhammadu Buhari will not be affected by politics.
Anyim, former secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) met behind closed door Friday with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja with many suggesting he is on his way to joining the ruling APC party.
Responding to the comment, Anyim said: “Real friendships go beyond politics, infact there are friendship that cannot be broken by politics.
Anyim in a phone conversation with Per Second News said he was in the Villa to see the president and the visit has nothing to do with politics.
‘ I am not leaving my party, am not contesting for any position and no plans to leave the PDP, he said.
The duo under the leadership of Late Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke were members of the ANPP party with Buhari its candidate in the presidential elections of 19 April 2003, winning 32.2% of the vote.
