THE INCREDIBLE GOD

By Oge Modie

For about a week now I have been listening to an amazing song by a Nigerian Gospel artiste – Mercy Chinwo “Incredible God“. Mercy is more famous for her song “Excess Love”. My friend sent me this song to listen to as part of songs to be used for the radio devotional. I just can’t get over the song. It speaks of the amazing power of God and what we gain access to as His Children.

Our text is taken is from Psalm 8:1
How great is your name, O Lord our God, through all the earth!

How Mighty is our God in all of the Earth! He is such a glorious God, an Excellent King, Mighty in all His Ways, He is kind and good to us, never counting our sins against us but always willing to forgive and lead us in the right path. The only One who opens a door that no man can shut. The One who speaks a thing and surely it must come to pass. The God who is the ONLY LIVING God! No one can compare to His greatness. Oh God Our very present help in times of trouble, Jehovah Man of War, The One that fights for us! My goodness- the One that loves me unconditionally!! Undefeatable, Unchangeable, Ageless, He is everything and everything is His.

In the song she calls God “Impossibility Specialist” and an “Extraordinary Strategist”. Let that sink in…….

If you are reading this, get up and give God some crazy praise! He deserves all our worship and praise. He holds our lives in His hand. He is totally committed to us. He wants only the best for us and has it all planned out. He is an Incredible God! I am in total awe of God! I am totally confident in whom I have believed and so should you.

A word in my spirit for you this season- Psalms 126:1-2. ‘When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laugher, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

PRAYER: I Praise you Oh God! How mighty are you in all of the Earth.

CHARGE FOR THE WEEK: Psalm 100:1 (MSG) “On your feet now – applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into His Presence

God’s Peace and Love
