A toddler was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg in Washington, DC, police say.
Officials say the two-year-old boy was shot just before 4 p.m. at the 1100 block of K Street, Southeast on Sunday
The child was reportedly shot outside an apartment complex, near a playground area.
Investigators say the child was conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital and his wound appears to be non-life-threatening.
