Ekiti APC chairman on the run as Police seal secretariat

Party members on Monday said the  Ekiti APC chairman Jide Awe is on the run after pro-Fayemi protesters attacked the party secretariat.

Mr Awe, narrowly escaped assault by the protesting party members, after mobile policemen came to his rescue.

The protesters, who brandished placards with various inscriptions, also passed vote of no confidence on Mr Awe and the party’s spokesman, Taiwo Olatunbosun, alleging they were supporting a particular aspirant.

Dozens of protesters said they were at the secretariat to register their disapproval over the conduct of the members of the State Working Committee.

The protesters laced the gate of the party with fetish materials made from palm oil and egg.
