Dr David Oyedepo, the President and Founder, Living Faith Church Worldwide known as Winners has decreed peace on Plateau the midlle belt of Nigeria, following attacks by Fulani herdsmen on villagers and farmers.

Oyedepo made the decree in prayers during a one-day apostolic visit on Thursday in Jos, the capital city of Plateau that the state would hence forth enjoy peace round about.

The service which was held at the State Headquarters church had six thousand and fourteen people in attendance.

He said that Christians must align with the word of God as it has the power to command peace in all areas and facet of life.

Oyedepo said that the world was in the last days and that gross darkness was being experienced almost everywhere, stressing that God has made Christians light to conquer darkness.

“Light is the only authority darkness understands and at the appearance of light, darkness must give way without any form of discussion,’’ he said.

Oyedepo told the congregation that instructions and obedience to the word of God were the necessary requirement for lasting peace as contained in Second Timothy, Chapter 3 verses 16.

He said that the Bible is the book of instructions, adding that any word of God obeyed gives peace and joy to those that are obedient and that there was no substitute for obedience.

“No word of God of any private interpretation, what he tells you to do, do it and you will be on your way to enjoying peace and greatness,” he said.

He, however, admonished believers to study the Bible diligently to be able to encounter the power in the word and in order to be illuminated and empowered for dominion.
