Abuja – The new leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Tuesday vowed to expose the financiers of Nnamdi kanu that enabled him to carry on with violence, hate speech, criminal intimidation, hooliganism, and bloodletting of innocent Igbo youth.
This is as Radio Biafra announced that its sacked former Director Nnamdi Kanu has fled to London using his British passport and hiding after the takeover of the voice of Biafra and IPOB from him.
These were contained in a broadcast by the new leadership of IPOB led by Mazi Ezenachukwu Sampson Okwudili on Tuesday in Radio Biafra monitored on 7240 khz in the 41 meter band and 11530 khz on the 25 meter band shortwave.
Okwudili said that the time of reckoning has come for those, who benefitted from inciting young Igbo youth to violence and death, stressing that the new IPOB leadership is determined to put an end to bloodshed, adding that those who live by the sword will surely know the final judgement.
The new IPOB leader also accused two brothers namely Mr. Uche Mefor and Law Mefor as well as Emma Powerful of defrauding IPOB of hundreds of millions of Naira and dollars.
According to him: “People like Uche Mefor and his brother Mr Law Mefor along with Emma powerful, should know that like the Mugabe era, the Nnamdi Kanu era has come to a close. The time when rabble rousers loot IPOB treasury, share it with their family and friends has come and gone.
The radio broadcast specifically accused Law Mefor, the brother of Uche Mefor, who was Kanu’s former deputy of collecting money from Igbo traders and businessmen while serving as Treasurer of IPOB and converting it to personal use.
The Biafra Radio alleged that money so far collected in the name of IPOB is far in access of 300 million naira and still counting.
The Radio in a disclaimer announcement said the duo of Uche Mefor and Law Mefor have been dismissed as members, stressing that IPOB is an ideologically focused, democratic, accountable, non-violent organisation based on its charter and principle.
