Abuja protest: Federal Secretariat shut

Following the nationwide protest which kicked off on Thursday, the Federal Secretariat in Abuja has been shut down.

The gates of the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation were shut, with security operatives stationed there.

The Eagles Square, where presidential inaugurations and the independence anniversary of the country are held, was eerily empty.

Additionally, the protesters at the court-designated venue of the protest, MKO Abiola Stadium, refused to enter the facility’s main bowl for their protest.
