Stars Align as NNL Super Four Draw Lights Up Lagos

112

Lagos is bracing for a high-octane evening as the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four draw takes centre stage.

This star-studded ceremony underscores the league’s surging reputation within the domestic game.

Leading the festivities are heavyweight administrators Ibrahim Gusau, NFF President and Bukola Olopade, National Sports Commission (NSC) Director General, alongside a legendary cast of ex-internationals featuring the iconic ‘Prince of Monaco,’ Victor Ikpeba.

The presence of these sports administrators and legends underscores a bold message – the NNL has stepped out of the shadows to claim its place as one of Nigeria’s most vital football platforms.

Through strategic branding, better organization, and stronger commercial interest, the league is transforming into a serious contender that rivals top-flight standards.

Much of this progress stems from the involvement of Toptier Sports Management, whose private investment has brought new funding, elevated operational quality, and given participating clubs a professional environment that mirrors elite competition.

Persecondnews reports that the draw on Friday, April 24, at the elegant Marriott Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, will determine the matchups for four newly promoted sides eyeing glory in the decisive playoff stage – Doma United, Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos, and Ranchers Bees.

In a historic first, all four promoted clubs are privately owned — a milestone that highlights the shifting landscape toward more sustainable and investor-driven club ownership in Nigerian football.

Following the draw, action moves to the pitch as the NNL Super Four Tournament runs from May 1 to May 8, 2026, at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, where the overall champion of the 2025/2026 season will be crowned.
