I married my ex-wife as a virgin, but had no marital peace – Davido’s aide, Israel, confirms break up

Davido’s Logistics Manager, Isreal Afeare, widely known as Isreal DMW, took to the Instagram on Saturday to announce the dissolution of his marriage with Sheila.

In a detailed account, Isreal disclosed that Sheila left their home on August 8, 2023, despite substantial support on his part.

Isreal DMW highlighted his acts of generosity to her including financial support, upgrading Sheila’s phone, and indulging in shopping sprees.

However, he lamented a shift in Sheila’s behaviour post-wedding, where she allegedly sought to impose standards on him, driven by her perceived status as a prominent figure on Instagram.

Despite marrying someone from a Christian background and Sheila being a virgin, Isreal pointed out that this did not guarantee marital peace.

Sheila reportedly accused him of being a slave to his boss, Davido, thereby adding complexity to their relationship.

Isreal DMW offered a cautionary note to others, advising against undue trust in people as they can change unexpectedly.

He shared details of their meeting in February 2022, evolving from friendship to intimacy.

Sheila, according to Isreal, insisted on maintaining her virginity until marriage, a condition to which they both agreed.

Isreal recounted his efforts to improve Sheila’s situation, providing financial assistance and upgrading her phone to an iPhone 12 Pro Max, eventually replacing it with a 14 Pro Max.

He said: “Marrying a lady because you met her during evangelism as a virgin, a pastor’s daughter, a member of the same Winners Chapel church, might not guarantee anything peace at all. Don’t be too eager or quick to trust people. People can change at any time.

“People can be very ungrateful and deceptive. I met Sheila on February 19, 2022. We became friendsl which later became intimate.

“She told me she would only lose her virginity to the man that would marry her since her Ugep, Cross River, mother, who’s now 41, had earlier married two different men, with two kids, before marrying her father and that she was overdue at 21 for marriage.

“We fully agreed with her terms and conditions. I immediately upgraded her unkept situation by giving her 300k and replacing her tattered phone of less than 60k with a new one“.

Despite these gestures, Sheila’s behaviour reportedly changed after their wedding with a new-found desire to set standards for Isreal.

Meanwhile, Sheila accused Israel of abusing her physically, saying her ex- husband also went to her mother’s shop to attack and retrieve all the gifts he gave them including a generator and a phone.

The logistics manager vehemently denied any physical violence, asserting his respect for women.

He expressed disappointment with Sheila’s accusations and emphasized his commitment to her upkeep.

Isreal DMW concluded by cautioning against quick trust, underscoring the unpredictable nature of people.
