Vanguard Editor, Anaba, is Nigeria Guild of Editors’ President

Mr Eze Anaba, has been elected the President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE).

Anaba succeeds Mr Mustspha Isa of the Silverbird Group.

The Guild president, who is the Editor of Lagos-based Vanguard newspaper, emerged on Friday polling 250 votes at the NGE ongoing 2023 Biennial Convention in Owerri, Imo State.

Anaba’s only opponent, Mr Bolaji Adebiyi, formerly of Thisday Newspapers, polled 81 votes.

The immediate past Social and Publicity Secretary of the Guild, holds a Master’s degree in Communication from Leicester University, UK.

He had served as the Deputy Editor, Saturday Editor, Senior Deputy News Editor, and the Law and Human Rights Editor in the newspaper.

Anaba, who is widely travelled, sits on the boards of some human rights organizations in the country.
