Drama erupted at a Lagos nightclub Friday night as undercover police tried to arrest Odumodublvck.
The singer, who recently made headlines after leveling rape allegations against fellow artist Blaqbonez, actively resisted the officers’ attempt to detain him.
Odumodublvck had reportedly been invited by the police to substantiate the rape allegation against Blaqbonez, a development that has added a new dimension to the controversy between the two artistes.
However, in a video obtained by Per Second News, the singer was seen resisting the officers’ attempt to take him away from the club.
The singer explained that the police invitation had already been attended to by his lawyer and insisted that he had no reason to follow the officers.
He maintained that he would not be leaving with them, repeatedly challenging the officers as the confrontation unfolded.
“I can’t follow you. You can’t arrest me. It is illegal,” Odumodublvck was heard saying in the video.
The singer also questioned the legality of the attempt to arrest him, insisting that his response to the invitation through his lawyer should have been sufficient.
Per Second News observed from the footage that Odumodublvck remained firm in his position despite the presence of the police officers, who appeared determined to have him accompany them.
The incident reportedly attracted the attention of people within the club as the singer and the officers engaged in a tense exchange.
The development follows the ongoing controversy surrounding Odumodublvck’s allegation against Blaqbonez, which has generated reactions within the Nigerian music industry.
It remains unclear from the footage whether the officers had a warrant or other legal authority to arrest Odumodublvck, or whether he was subsequently taken into custody.
