Leave Adekunle Gold and Simi Alone, Do2dtun Urges Nigerians

Amid the online bashing of Adekunle Gold and his wife Simi over viral tweets she made some days ago, media personality Do2dtun has called on Nigerians to stop attacking the couple.

The controversy started when Simi shared a tweet about personal boundaries and societal expectations, which many social media users misinterpreted.

While she intended the message as a reflection on personal growth and self-respect, it quickly drew criticism from some quarters, with comments escalating into personal attacks against both her and Adekunle Gold.

In response to the uproar, Do2dtun took to social media to defend the couple, writing:”It’s time for you guys to leave AG alone.

He has given us classic albums and even shut down the National Theatre—an amazing performer whose craft is exceptionally unmatched.

“I’ve seen some of the most despicable comments about him and his family. Enough is enough.”

He further urged fans and Nigerians to respect the couple’s work and personal lives:

“If we all stood tall in many areas of life, let us start with respecting people’s craft and life’s work.

Adekunle Gold remains unscarred and is still one of the biggest musicians ever to come out of Nigeria.

“Yet some carry extreme bullying and personal attacks. It’s enough.”
