The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has arrived at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja for his official decoration with the rank of Inspector-General of Police.
Disu arrived at the Presidential Villa at about 3 p.m., according to observations at the venue.
His appointment follows the resignation of former Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, whose exit from office was confirmed by the Presidency on Tuesday.
Persecondnews had reported that Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had accepted Egbetokun’s resignation after he submitted a letter citing pressing family considerations.
