KSA is Fine, Safe, Son clarifies

1.1k

Amid swirling rumours about the alleged kidnapping of music legend, King Sunny Ade (KSA), his son and manager, Dayo Adegeye, has stepped forward to calm growing public concerns.

In a statement issued on Monday evening and made available to Per Second News, Adegeye firmly dismissed the reports, labelling them as false, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the veteran musician’s reputation.

“We want to assure everyone that King Sunny Ade is safe, sound, and in good spirits,” Adegeye said.

“There is no truth whatsoever to the rumour of any kidnapping. We are working to trace the source of this misinformation and will take appropriate action.”

KSA’s recent silence and his absence from key public events — notably the 83rd birthday celebration of his longtime friend and fellow music icon, Ebenezer Obey — had fueled speculation about his wellbeing.

His non appearance at other expected gatherings had also intensified public concern.

However, Adegeye explained that the music legend’s low profile was a personal decision, meant for rest and private reflection, and had nothing to do with any threat to his safety.

He reassured fans and the public that King Sunny Ade remains deeply connected to his music and legacy, even if he has chosen, for now, to stay out of the spotlight.

Sources close to the Adegeye family revealed that King Sunny Ade has been spending more time with family and quietly working on personal projects.

They emphasised that the veteran musician is taking a well-deserved break after decades of relentless touring and performances around the world.

Meanwhile, the family and management team urged the public to disregard any unfounded reports and to await only verified information through official channels.

“We appreciate the love, prayers, and concern, but we plead with everyone to be wary of fake news,” Adegeye said.
