New Carrier Gateway Air Commences Flights to Abuja, Kano, Calabar, Others

Ogun State’s official carrier, Gateway Air, is set to bolster national connectivity with the launch of several new domestic routes.

The announcement, released at the weekend by Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun, highlights the airline’s mission to provide accessible and efficient travel for Nigerians.

It stated that starting from Monday, April 13, 2026, Gateway Air will begin scheduled operations connecting the Iperu hub and Abuja to several key cities:

*Iperu ⇋ Abuja
*Abuja ⇋ Port Harcourt
*Abuja ⇋ Calabar
*Abuja ⇋ Jos
*Iperu ⇋ Kano

To ensure reliability for business and leisure travelers alike, the airline has established a consistent weekly schedule:
*Operating Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The statement emailed to Persecondnews on Saturday said economy seats are available from ₦100,000 for one-way trips.

“Our goal is to offer passengers reliable and convenient travel options that bridge the gap between major economic hubs,” it stated.

The development marks a significant step in improving regional accessibility and delivering efficient, reliable air travel services to passengers, while also supporting economic growth and connectivity across the country.
