Popular skit maker and activist, Mr Macaroni, has once again addressed his refusal to engage with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, citing his traumatic experiences during the #EndSARS protests in 2020.

The comedian, known for his satirical takes on societal issues, took to Twitter to respond to criticism over his stance.

“I’ll be on my own, and you people will come to my TL crying and calling me names that I snubbed the Governor,” he began, adding that he typically refrains from responding but felt compelled to set the record straight this time.

Mr Macaroni recounted the harrowing ordeal he endured at the hands of security forces, which he alleges was sanctioned by the Lagos State government.

“I don’t want to mingle with the government that stripped me naked, beat me, tortured me, brutalized me, and dehumanized me,” he stated.

The skit maker recalled being told during the ordeal to “stop disturbing the Governor,” and he accused those responsible of attempting to intimidate and silence him.

“They hated the fact that I was there, and they showed it to me. The plan was to demoralize me and intimidate me into silence. I survived it. And now they want me to roll on the floor when I see them?” he questioned.

Expressing his lingering trauma, Mr Macaroni admitted, “Yes, the beating is still paining me! Yes, I still have PTSD! I agree!”

He slammed those who criticize his stance, accusing them of aligning with oppressive forces for personal gain.

“Go and continue licking the bumbum that you have come to this world to lick and leave me TF alone!”
