After spending six months at Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos, for abusing the naira, controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been released.

The social media influencer and socialite regained his freedom on August 5, 2024.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had, on April 5, secured the conviction of Bobrisky.

The EFCC charged him with four counts of naira abuse.

Persecondnews recalls that he pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos.

Following his release, Bobrisky was seen in a video with friends, including popular Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao, vibing to Mohbad’s and Chike’s Egwu song.

“We are out of prison,” his friends reportedly declared. Congratulation Bobrisky.”
