Popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, a.k.a. Portable, is now in police net for allegedly refusing to pay the outstanding N14 million for the G-Wagon he purchased from a car dealer in the state.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the arrest on Tuesday evening.

Portable had purchased the vehicle worth N27 million, but paid only N13 million and refused to pay the N14 million balance.

When the car dealer contacted him to settle the balance, he typically claimed that the vehicle was defective.

The auto dealer reported the case to the police, which led to the arrest of Portable.

Confirming the arrest, the state police command spokesman, DSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said: “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
