A major CNN investigation has unmasked a predatory online community dedicated to drug-facilitated sexual abuse.

At the heart of this network is a website that garnered roughly 62 million visits in February alone, primarily driven by a U.S.-based audience.

On this platform, users utilize specific hashtags like #passedout and #eyecheck to categorize and share videos of unconscious victims.

Within these “sleep” communities, members reportedly exchange disturbing instructions on how to illicitly drug partners while evading detection by authorities.

The findings add to growing concerns about the role of online platforms in enabling harmful behavior, following various cases of misogyny, sexism, or gender discrimination against women

The CNN investigation exposed how abuse can be coordinated through digital spaces.

Analysts highlight that the inherent anonymity and vast scale of these platforms present significant regulatory hurdles.

The discovery has sparked an urgent debate, placing intense pressure on both law enforcement and tech corporations to address these systemic gaps.

This investigative piece is currently featured in the Crime and Courts section of the CNN website.
