Six key players of the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, to begin preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoffs.

Persecondnews reports that Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Wilfred Ndidi, and Olakunle Olusegun, were welcomed at the Rive hotel, marking the official opening of the team’s camp on Sunday.

The Super Eagles will face Gabon in the semi-final this Thursday, November 13.

A win would advance them to the final on Sunday, November 16, where they would play the winner of the match between Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

A win in the playoff would secure Nigeria’s spot in the Intercontinental playoffs in Mexico in March 2026.

Coach Eric Chelle’s squad is expected to be complete in the coming days, with more players joining the camp.

The team’s focus is on securing a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
