Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze has officially completed his loan move to Fulham from AC Milan with his focus on the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with the Nigerian national team.

Chukwueze joins a talented group of Nigerian players at Fulham, including Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.

With Nigeria’s World Cup qualification hopes on the line, Chukwueze emphasized the importance of winning the upcoming matches against Rwanda and South Africa.

“For now, I am just focusing on the game. We need the two games, Rwanda and South Africa. So, I think we have to win the two games to secure our World Cup ticket,” Chukwueze told Fulham TV.

Nigeria will face Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom capital, on Saturday, September 6 followed by a match against South Africa in Bloemfontein three days later.

The Super Eagles currently occupy fourth position in Group C with seven points from six games.

With qualification on the line, Nigeria will need to secure maximum points from these two crucial matches to revive their World Cup hopes.
