President Bola Tinubu has touched down in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a brief stopover as he embarks on a significant diplomatic mission to Japan and Brazil.

Persecondnews reports that the President’s flight departed Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, and he arrived at Al-Maktoum International Airport in Dubai at 10:10 p.m. local time.

Tinubu’s first major engagement will be at the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), scheduled to take place in Yokohama, Japan, from August 20 to 22.

The conference, themed “Co-create Innovative Solutions with Africa,” will bring together global leaders and stakeholders to discuss strategies for Africa’s economic transformation, attracting private investment, and building a resilient and sustainable continent.

The President is expected to engage in crucial bilateral meetings with Japanese leaders and top executives of companies with significant investments in Nigeria.

Following his engagements in Japan, Tinubu will proceed to Brazil for the second leg of his working visit, further strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic ties with these nations.
