Following ongoing protests by visually impaired people which is causing traffic congestion on the roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) in Lagos, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has issued a travel advisory for passengers using the airport.

A statement released on Monday, August 11, FAAN said:”We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.”

FAAN urged travellers to check traffic updates before setting out, confirm their flight status with airlines for any schedule changes, and consider using alternative routes to avoid heavily congested areas.

The agency also advised passengers to plan extra travel time to the airport and stay informed through official channels for further updates.

Persecondnews reports that the demonstration, which began earlier on Monday, August 11, has severely affected access roads to the airport, prompting concerns about potential flight delays and cancellations.
