Nigerian Navy Officer Killed in Kaduna Car Robbery, Assailant Lynched

A Nigerian Navy officer, Lieutenant Commander M. Buba, was tragically killed in the early hours of Sunday, June 8, after being stabbed and robbed of his mobile phones in the Kawo area of Kaduna North, Kaduna State.

The incident occurred around 4:50am on the fateful day, Persecondnews has gathered.

The assailant, whose identity remains unknown, was overpowered and beaten to death by a mob while attempting to escape.

DSP Mansir Hassan, the Kaduna State Police Command’s spokesman, confirmed the incident.

He said Commander Buba was attacked in his car near the Kawo flyover.

The attacker used a knife to rob the naval officer of his phones, according to the police.

Commander Buba, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was rushed to Manaal Hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.

In a separate attempt to intervene, Mr. Suleiman Dahiru was also stabbed in the hand and is currently receiving treatment.

Commander Buba’s body has been deposited at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital mortuary.

At the time of the attack, he was in his black Toyota vehicle, registration no. APP-745HT.

Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend any other individuals involved in the incident.
