Officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), acting on the directive of Minister Nyesom Wike, have sealed off the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
At 2:06 PM, FCTA staff padlocked the entrance to Wadata Plaza, the PDP’s national secretariat located in Abuja’s Wuse Zone 5, according to Persecondnews.
This action follows the FCTA’s announcement on Friday regarding its intent to reclaim properties affected by the revocation of 4,794 land titles.
These revocations are due to the non-payment of ground rent for periods ranging from 10 to 43 years.
Persecondnews had previously reported that on Monday, the administration also sealed an Access Bank branch and a Total petrol station in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, for similar violations.
Additionally, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) office in Abuja was shut down for comparable infractions.
