Beware: NNPCL Alerts Public to Fake Job Advertisements

683

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has issued a warning to the public to be cautious of fraudulent recruitment advertisements circulating online.

According to a statement released on the company’s official X handle on Friday, “NNPC Ltd is not currently conducting any hiring process.”

“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting. Official recruitment announcements will only be made through our website and verified social media platforms,” the statement said.

NNPC Ltd. noted that its recruitment process is “transparent, merit-based, and requires no external assistance.”

The company urged Nigerians to disregard any unofficial job advertisements claiming to be from NNPC Ltd., as they could be attempts to defraud unsuspecting applicants.

“We advise the public to always verify information directly from our official platforms to avoid being misled by scammers,” NNPC Ltd. stated.

The company also urged individuals to report any suspicious recruitment advertisements falsely linked to NNPC Ltd. to the appropriate authorities.

Persecondnews recalls that in December the NNPC Ltd commenced the shortlisting of candidates for the interview stage of its 2024 recruitment exercise.

This follows the successful completion of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Graduate Trainees and Experienced roles.

Successful candidates have started receiving interview invitation emails from the organization, informing them of their progress to the next stage of the recruitment process.

The interview is scheduled to take place at the NNPC Ltd. Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, with details regarding the date, time, and other instructions to be communicated to candidates in due course.

NNPCL has reiterated its commitment to a fair, merit-based recruitment process that ensures equal opportunities for all candidates.

The national oil company began a computer-based aptitude test for 45,689 applicants in its ongoing recruitment last week.

The Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mele Kyari, who oversaw the process at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Centenary Resource Centre in Maitama, Abuja, on Saturday, promised a smooth, transparent, fair, and credible.

As an equal opportunity employer, NNPC Ltd made special provisions to ensure that applicants with disabilities can take the test without any hindrance.
